@maples i use kiss launcher and i love it, it basically just has a list of all your apps sorted by frecency and a search box at the bottom

it's rly fast and because of the frecency sorting it learns what you want before long

also it's floss :blobcatcoffee:

@maples however if you want a more traditional launcher design, with the grid of icons you can customise, you rly can't go past nova launcher

it's /not/ floss, and you rly need to pick up the pro version to get some important functionality, but it's definitely worth it. it's a fantastic app

@maples action launcher is quite similar to nova but has a few interesting features of its own so maybe check that out too

and then there's lightning launcher, which is basically the kwgt of launchers - you can customise everything to an absurd degree and build up your ideal launcher from components. wild. it's naturally quite a bit clunkier than nova and action, but if that's what you're after it's the only one i know of that does it

@maples tbqh as someone who loves incessantly customising things i'd still recommend choosing a less complex launcher, like kiss or nova, and then using kwgt or klwp to add dynamic behaviour to it rather than use lightning

it's just. a rly intimidating piece of software, and the ui isn't nearly as approachable as the one the kustom apps use
